Meet OTA Owners, Jeff & Karen
Jeff has been the owner of OTA since 1992, starting off with a small two-bay shop in South Toms River and then purchasing the building we are in now in Lanoka Harbor in 2004. He is an ASE Certified Master Technician, Licensed New Jersey State Inspector, Licensed New Jersey State Expert Emission Repair Technician and former automotive instructor at Lincoln Technical Institute in Union, New Jersey. Jeff has worked on everything from model “Ts” to muscle cars and hybrids. In his spare time, Jeff is a firefighter with the Lanoka Harbor Fire Company and attends automotive shows throughout the country. Jeff’s wife is Karen is our Office Manager. Karen has a background in mortgage banking with extensive knowledge in small business administration. Jeff & Karen have been married since 1986. Their son Jason is a professional firefighter and he has served our country in Syria. Jason has a wonderful wife named Jesse and together they have two children, Maddie and Troy.

Joseph
He is our Shop Manager & Lead Technician. Joseph has been repairing and diagnosing vehicles for the past 23 years from Ford to Rolls Royce since joining Jeff at OTA back in 1996. He is a Master Mechanic, specializes in Hybrid Vehicles, and he has been named one of the “top technicians” in New Jersey. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Stephanie and together they have one son, Kyle who is 9 years old. When asked what his favorite part of the job is, he said “the people that I work with and our customers!”

Cody
Cody joined the OTA family in 2021 as our Assistant Manager. He comes to our shop with over 15 years experience in the Automotive Industry. His favorite vehicle is any type of truck. Cody is married and has a 16 year old daughter. Some fun facts about Cody is that he has a 4-pound Morkie and he is from Florida! In his spare time, Cody loves to go fishing and go to the gym. We’re lucky to have Cody on our team and we’d love for you to help us welcome him into the OTA family!

Alan
Alan is our Front Office Manager and will be the smiling face you see when you walk into our shop. With over 35 years experience working with customers in the automotive field, you can feel confident that Alan will care good care of you and your vehicle. He has been working here at OTA since 2013. Alan has been married to his wife Michele for 39 years and together they have two daughters and two grandchildren. When he isn’t working, he loves to be outdoors and enjoys spending his time camping.

Tiana
Tiana has been a part of the OTA family since 2016. Tiana’s extensive automotive background and exceptional customer service has helped make OTA the shop to go to for top notch automotive care and VALUE for your money. She has two children with one on the way and she has been dating her fiancé, Nick, for the past three years and together they love to go on nature walks, collect antiques for their home and spend time relaxing with their newborn son, dog, and two cats.

Gavin
Gavin is one of our Senior Technicians and has been a cornerstone to the OTA team since 2005. He is our Asian Vehicle Specialist servicing Hyundai, Honda, Acura, Toyota, Subaru and Nissan vehicles. He has two daughters and a grandson named Lukas. He loves to spend time helping out his community and he is an active member of the Forked River Baptist Church. His favorite way to spend his time is with his grandson in “The Adventures of Lukas and Pop Pop.”

Victor
Victor is our Domestic Vehicle Specialist and he joined our team in 2021. Victor brings over 30 years of car care experience to the table. He has quickly become a great addition to our team and brings extensive expertise to each vehicle he works on. Victor's favorite car is Buick Grand National. When he isn't working on cars in our shop, he loves to spend time with his wife and two children. Victor's favorite hobbies include boating and camping.

Phil
Phil joined the OTA Crew as a Service Advisor in 2023. Phil comes to us with over 28+ years experience as a Service Manager. Phil is married with 2 kids, 1 grandchild and 1 on the way. He loves to work on classic cars and enjoys spending weekends with family!

Matt
Matt recently joined the OTA family and brings over 14 years of extensive knowledge & experience to the table. Matt is married with three children and when he isn't at the shop, he loves to go off roading and do Motorcross! Matt says his favorite part about working at OTA is that the shop is very "family-oriented"
